Supporting our Defence sector, we are seeking a Quality & Assurance Manager to join the team in this full-time role that can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.
Reporting to the SHEQ Business Manager, the Quality Advisor as a key team member in the operation of the SHEQ function and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of an audit and assurance program and supporting activities to ensure the Sector is monitoring compliance and measuring conformity to Ventia’s systems and licence and accreditation requirements are met.
This role is also responsible for delivering SHEQ requirements of the project utilising systems and process to foster an integrated approach to safety management in delivering on legal, contractual and business requirements.
Other duties involve:
- Implement assurance, audit planning and execution.
- Support SHEQ Business Manager- Defence with all Assurance and Compliance activities, internal and external audits and outcomes.
- Support Defence SHEQ Business Partnering Managers with establishing projects’ internal audit programs.
- Oversee Assurance and Compliance activities performed by SHEQ Managers/Advisors across Defence to ensure all project Assurance and Quality requirements are addressed, in liaison with Sector SHEQ Business Partnering Managers.
- Support SHEQ staff to identify the projects’ contractual deliverables and implementing adequate assurance program to monitor the compliance.
- Develop targeted audit tools as required.
- Collaborate with SHEQ Business Partnering Manager to Identify and maintain any project specific certification and accreditation across the Defence.
- Reviewing and monitoring the Defence’s performance, identifying trends and initiating programs to address issues.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Diploma, Degree in OHS, science, engineering or related discipline.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Quality or relevant field).
- Lead Auditor qualification and audit experience.
- Ability to develop and translate relevant SHEQ strategy into implementable actions for the Defence LoB and Businesses.
- Understanding of and experience with external and regulatory audit regimes.
- Demonstrated experience in safety, environment and delivery of quality auditing roles (internal & external).
- 5+ years in similar industry, services or construction organisation.
- Demonstrated success in delivery of internal audit programs.
