We are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to work for our business. You are expected to provide analysis on our financial records, give advice on business operations, maintain financial records and systems, prepare tax documents and mitigate risks. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

·     Participating in quarterly and yearly reporting processes (i.e. Business Activity Statements and Financial Report for a financial year), ensuring deadlines are met;

·     Compiling and analyzing account information and preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries;

·     Examining and monitoring bank statements, incomes, and operational expenses to determine the company’s financial health;

·     Ensuring the information in financial reports is accurate and in compliance with statutory requirement, accounting standards and laws;

·     Analyzing and interpreting financial results and providing financial advice on business plans and operations and tax matters;

·     Predicting revenue and expenditure trends, recommending appropriate budget levels, and implementing expenditure controls;

·     Developing and maintaining financial databases, accounting systems, and internal control systems;

·     Establishing and coordinating the implementation of financial, operational, and management control procedures to mitigate financial risks;

·     Maintaining records of operational performance and compares these with budget plans;

General Duties

·     Having a thorough understanding of our cashflow cycles;

·     Liaising with other functions within the business to ensure that our financial function is supported and managed effectively and efficiently;

·     Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by maintaining membership with professional societies, participating in educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications;

Required Qualification and Experience

·     Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting

·     At least 3 year’s experience as an accountant in Australia

·     Proven records of undertaking reconciliations and managing general ledger

·     Experience with budgeting and financial controls

Required Knowledge and Skills

·     High level knowledge of accounting and management skills

·     Understanding of business operations and accounting activities

·     Proficient in QuickBook, NetSuite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project)

·     Personal and people management abilities including team building and conflict resolution.

·     Good decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities with a problem-solving attitude.
