Job Description

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on in a dynamic poultry processing environment? We are seeking motivated Poultry Process Workers to join our team in Sassafras, TAS. As a Poultry Process Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Rehanging birds and manual handling tasks
  • Grabbing/catching birds with two hands from the shed into cages
  • Encouraging positive actions and behaviours within your department
  • Ensuring compliance with company standard operating procedures, policies, and induction information
  • Notifying supervisors if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe performing work as requested
  • Reporting all incidents, near-hits, and hazards to team leaders
  • Participating in hazard identification and risk assessment processes
  • Other duties as requested by the site supervisor

Your Skills & Experience:

We're searching for individuals who not only hold the qualifications but also embody the spirit of hard work and dedication. To excel in this role, bring the following:

  • Be physically fit and able to consistently lift or bend over.
  • Have no issues working with live chickens or entrails.
  • Be comfortable with working with live poultry, including handling blood.
  • Have no allergies related to poultry and be able to work in cold weather conditions.
  • Be ok with working nights shifts as required.
  • Own transport.
