We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Senior Health and Safety Executive. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for championing safety excellence and driving impactful, lasting change across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute our health and safety strategy, aligning it with our broader business objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Work Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
  • Manage the implementation of risk management strategies, particularly for complex and high-risk issues.
  • Drive the development and execution of behavioural safety programs, promoting a proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Lead the injury management and return-to-work programs, ensuring effective processes and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and support to senior management, acting as the primary point of contact for health and safety-related matters, including incident management and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a senior health and safety leadership role, with demonstrated success in managing health and safety systems in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering professional growth and driving continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven expertise in risk management, including hazard identification, analysis, and the development of effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers compensation law, and emergency management principles, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
  • Experience in delivering successful behavioural safety improvement programs, with a focus on creating a positive safety culture.
