Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute our health and safety strategy, aligning it with our broader business objectives.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Work Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
- Manage the implementation of risk management strategies, particularly for complex and high-risk issues.
- Drive the development and execution of behavioural safety programs, promoting a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Lead the injury management and return-to-work programs, ensuring effective processes and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide expert advice and support to senior management, acting as the primary point of contact for health and safety-related matters, including incident management and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive experience in a senior health and safety leadership role, with demonstrated success in managing health and safety systems in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering professional growth and driving continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven expertise in risk management, including hazard identification, analysis, and the development of effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers compensation law, and emergency management principles, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
- Experience in delivering successful behavioural safety improvement programs, with a focus on creating a positive safety culture.
