We are looking for an energetic and talented individual to be a pivotal member of the product team with a focus on the success of the Oracle Construction and Engineering products. This role is focused on the Oracle Construction and Engineering Smart Construction Platform product suite. 

THE ROLE

The Product Manager is responsible for defining & communicating the planning activities for the Product Development team engaging with the Director of Product Management, stakeholders across the business and customers, to ensure successful product delivery according to quarterly objectives as necessary. They work with other Product Managers, the User Experience team and Development to help ensure success of each product and maximize overall return for stakeholders, whilst driving holistic outcomes for the Smart Construction Platform, and ultimately, the CEGIU business. 

As an overview, this will include:

Being the primary business contact for the development team. Partnering closely with User Experience to research the domain and understand customer problems deeply. Synthesizing, detailing and making clear product needs visible to achieve strategic outcomes. Working directly with customers to understand needs, answer queries and get feedback. Strong thinking, planning and tactical execution and the ability to manage and drive priorities across departments.  Help execute the product roadmap based on market and stakeholder feedback by being aware of scrum practices, for example: Backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and, retrospectives. Working with the PM, UX and Development teams to deliver the agreed roadmap. Gather and analyze metrics to ensure the product is successful. End-of-life planning for products as required.

Knowledge and Experience Essential Ability to distil customer data and present insights as clear and useful business information. Familiarity with Agile approaches, design, engineering and testing methodologies. Product Research. Deep understanding of SaaS business processes Ability to proactively engage in continuous process improvement. Structured problem solving and facilitation approaches. Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business and customers. Clarity of verbal and written communication to unambiguously define goals and plans. Ability to create User Stories for development teams. Previous experience as a Product Manager.  Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives and stakeholders. Desirable Industry experience in the construction, facilities and/or resources industries. Working with globally distributed teams. Knowledge of Oracle Smart Construction Platform. Understand our current product suite, and ensuring any platform changes map to the wider vision. Understand the commercial and product management strategy and convey these contexts to the team. Build collaborative relationships with customers, users and stakeholders to understand their problems and communicate our solutions. Lead customer and product discovery activities. Be an advocate for product quality, and ensure that our products provide value and meaningful experiences for our customers. Work with the other product & UX portfolios to integrate their products into the roadmap. Advocate for platform initiatives to be integrated to other portfolios roadmaps. Collaborate with user experience and interaction designers and engineering to transform ideas into functional software. Monitor progress during sprints. Resolve with stakeholder input any ambiguities and conflicts with other existing or new functionality.  Work with remote and cross-functional teams and customers. Work with the team and stakeholders to understand team capacity and realistic workloads. Ensure customer-facing departments understand the changes we make to our products.  Contribute and review user documentation. Be a subject matter expert in our products and platform.
