Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, the team are looking to bring in an experienced Senior Civil Designer to provide additional technical and design capability to the Civil & Structural team across APAC.

The role offers the lifestyle opportunity of joining a friendly and dynamic team in our Modern waterside Brisbane offices (the largest of our 23 offices in APAC), whilst being part of a 800+ community of SLR APAC professionals, enjoying the benefits of a global network.  We will also be happy to consider suitable applicants from our Mackay, Townsville, Newcastle or Wollongong offices. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Working on a wide range of projects, across the Infrastructure, Built Environment,  Manufacturing & Industry, Mining and Resources and Power & Energy Sectors.
  • Lead Civil Design and Documentation
  • Challenge the norm with the objective of continuous improvement.
  • Developing your career while achieving excellent outcomes for our clients, developing independent internal and external relationships and contributing to/ managing exciting projects. 
  • Assisting and mentoring junior designers in the business. 

Contributing to the continuous improvement of design and documentation quality assurance processes, ensuring they remain robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.

Experience
Outside wanting to join a positive and friendly team, the right candidate should have:

  • 6+ years’ experience in civil design, ideally in consulting
  • An Advanced diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Have excellent working knowledge and experience with either 12d or Civil3D design packages
  • Have strong civil design knowledge and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget
  • A thorough knowledge of drafting standards, with experience in road and local authority standards
  • Experience in leading the delivery of civil design and documentation packages across multiple sectors
  • Competent in the design of built environment and infrastructure projects including bulk earthworks, roads, water and sewer infrastructure and stormwater drainage from concept to construction stages of projects and/or competent in the civil design of civil mine infrastructure including surface water management, tailings and waste facilities, bulk earthworks and haul roads.
