The Opportunity

As the Manager, Private Capital, your role is integral to the growth and diversification of the investor base, with responsibility spanning management of investor relationships, capital raising for new products, capital raising for existing products and working with the investor relations team.

As Manager, Private Capital the key responsibilities include:

  • Investor relationships - building and maintaining strong relationships with investor groups including High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices, Investment Advisers, Charities and Endowments and developing a strong understanding of their strategic goals and investment objectives enabling identification of sales opportunities
  • New products and strategies - capital raising for new product initiatives including involvement in producing marketing collateral, investor pitches, commercial term negotiations and lead conversion
  • Working collaboratively with broader New Business team including Investor Relations Team

About You

The selection criteria include the qualifications, experience and capabilities required for the role. Your application will be reviewed based on ability to demonstrate, or potential to develop, the capabilities required:

Qualifications

Minimum tertiary degree qualification in commerce, business or related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within funds management, strategy / banking / corporate development, or distribution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the real-estate and/or infrastructure funds management sector with an ability to discuss key economic and market trends in the context of Dexus products and opportunities
  • Existing industry and investor contacts within the real estate and infrastructure sectors
  • Experience in Private Capital investment including a client focussed approach to investment solutions and recommendations
  • Proven track record of delivering a range of projects from conception to completion achieving the project goals
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management and customer retention skills.
