The opportunity

An opening to join the connections and technical services team as the Senior Officer, Connections & Technical Services is now available

The role will see you provide specialist advice and information, on connection and technical service-related matters within Greater Western Water, to customers, stakeholders and the broader community in matters relating to water/recycled water & sewerage servicing, connections and metering, and asset protection. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice and information, on complex plumbing-related matters within Greater Western Water, to customers, stakeholders and the broader community in matters relating to water/recycled water & sewerage servicing, connections and metering, and asset protection.
  • Be a senior point of reference and advice for both the team and across Greater Western Water on connections, technical servicing issues and challenges, escalations and problem solving.
  • Support the Property Development Team Leader to introduce process improvements, staff mentoring and training.
  • Support policy and procedural development in respect to Property development team and ensure the customer experience of connections and technical services reflects our values, demonstrates best practice and is innovate and efficient.
  • Work with external partners and agencies such as EWOV, Councils, VBA, Consultants, developers.
  • Provide customers with options and advice that best meet their specific requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of systems, processes, Acts & Regulations relating to all property connection processes.
  • Excellent customers service skills and being able to successfully communicate with a diverse client base.
  • Confidence in resolving problems and complaint resolution.
  • Demonstrated skills in identifying and action priority items.
  • Ability to work under broad direction and be self-managed.
  • Experience in the development and streamlining of processes.
