About the Role

As a Google Cloud Senior Solutions Architect at NCS, you will be a visionary technical leader, steering the design, deployment, and continuous refinement of cutting-edge cloud-based solutions that empower our clients to achieve their business goals. By fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders, you will gain a deep understanding of their unique challenges and aspirations, translating those insights into robust, secure, and transformative architectures that leverage the full potential of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Your mastery of DevOps + GitOps principles and expertise in platform engineering, particularly around Google Cloud and Terraform/IAC Tooling, will be essential as you champion a culture of automation, agility, and reliability throughout the development lifecycle.

Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will shine as you navigate the organizational landscape, effortlessly translating the project's complex technical intricacies into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. This role is as much about influence and collaboration as it is about technical acumen, as you inspire teams and executives alike to embrace the power of cloud technologies to drive innovation and business success.

As The GCP Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud solutions. You'll wear multiple hats – strategist, technical guru, mentor, and influencer – to drive innovation and success for our clients.

You'll lead the design of comprehensive cloud solutions, ensuring perfect alignment with our clients' strategic objectives. Your ability to translate business needs into robust and scalable cloud architectures will be crucial.

Your deep technical expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services will be invaluable. Clients will rely on you as a trusted advisor, offering insights into best practices and emerging technologies that can revolutionize their operations.

You're passionate about exploring the cutting edge of cloud computing. You'll spearhead the implementation of innovative solutions that solve complex business problems and deliver tangible value to our clients.

Qualifications

About you? You should have:

  • A proven track record  in IT, with a strong background focused on architecting and implementing solutions on GCP.
  • Deep technical knowledge - Expert-level understanding of GCP services (Compute, Serverless, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, etc.), infrastructure as code (Terraform), GitOps, DevOps principles, and cloud security best practices.
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience of Google Cloud Architecture processes.
  • Strong communication and leadership - Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly, influence decision-makers, and inspire teams.
  • Solution-oriented mindset - Passion for solving challenging problems, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional results.
  • Certifications - Hold multiple Professional-level Google Cloud certifications (Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, etc.), demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Consulting expertise - Experience gathering requirements, developing proposals, and presenting client solutions.

Additional desirable attributes include:

  • Industry vertical experience - A background in specific industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) is a plus.
  • Open-source contributions - Demonstrated engagement with the broader cloud community is highly valued.
  • Technical Certifications - Hold multiple Professional-level Google Cloud certifications (Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, etc.)
  • Project Management Experience is highly regarded, and certifications such as AgilePM, Prince2, CAMP, or PMP are valuable.
