About the Role
Join our university as a Senior Student Inclusion Officer, championing diversity and inclusion. Situated in Student Equity and Disability Services (SEDS), you'll collaborate with various teams to provide tailored student services, aligning with our strategic goals. From academic adjustments to engagement in university life, you'll guide individuals through support services, ensuring an enriched student experience. Working closely with Academic Services and Divisions, you'll review academic progress, implement necessary adjustments, and provide comprehensive support for holistic student development. Your role will also involve offering feedback, coaching, and training to enhance strategies for identifying student needs and improving overall support services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and providing pathway navigation of equity registered students plans across student services and Faculties. Implementing appropriate strategies for equity-registered students Proactive outreach engagement with students and other University service teams and faculties to support the inclusion of students at the University. Providing support and advice to the Equity and Disability Services team and other university staff regarding equity registered students, including in the implementation of academic adjustment plans, and accessibility practice and processes. You will also have:
Completed relevant tertiary qualification (, accredited social work degree eligible for AASW membership, or psychology) with a minimum of five years' practical experience, or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience. Proven expertise in evidence-based service enhancement, including program evaluation. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrating high professional practice, using sound judgment for positive client outcomes. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining positive collegial relationships.For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD.

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
The Student Equity and Disability Services (SEDS) is in the Wellbeing Services portfolio, which includes the University’s Health Service, Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and the Chaplaincy service. SEDS is responsible for providing educational adjustments for students with a disability or health condition, are carers of a person with a disability, are defence reservists or emergency volunteers, or for cultural or religious observance which impacts their ability to participate fully in their studies. SEDS works under the authority of the Academic Registrar and processes eligibility for Special consideration applications on behalf of Academic Faculties.
