Your Venue - Monster Kitchen and Bar

Canberra’s only refined vegetarian dining experience, Monster Kitchen and Bar, has a deep respect for locally sourced and seasonal ingredients landing an exciting set of fresh ideas with conscious consumption at the forefront. Monster Bar offers an elevated cocktail experience created with modern techniques using a selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables, ever-changing to highlight the season. Implementing our very own twist on the most iconic cocktails you’d only find in the best hotel bars around the world.
The Gig
- You are a hands-on CDP with minimum 2 years' experience in a similar environment
- Assisting in menu planning, implementation and execution
- Controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section
- Leading by example as a hands-on-chef with excellent quality assurance and standards
- Assist in the development through innovative and original menu planning and maintenance of high food standards
- Establishing and maintaining effective employee working relationships at all times
- You will be enjoy being on tools and bringing our creations to life
- Bring your on-trend ideas, new dishes, new concepts and new menus to make our food offering the best in the area
- Good knowledge of WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes
- Your team think you're absolutely fabulous and you LOVE to train your peeps
- You work fantastically under pressure, are cucumber cool and a natural born leader who gets things done
- You love the face-to-face guest experience and LOVE getting to know your guests
About you
We are looking for a Full Time Chef De Partie who believes that that the purpose of their existence is to be transforming a guest's experience into an inspiring journey of discovery. As a Chef de Partie, you will be assisting with the growth of our food offering, menu and workflow design. It goes without saying that our food will be paramount, but not like that all too-slick, corporate blah blah experience happening elsewhere in your traditional restaurant. We have a bit of personality, a bit of freshness, interesting and quirky, we shine and are always changing.
