At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive and to achieve this, we need a talented Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Australia Operational Risk & Compliance team. The Australia Operational Risk & Compliance team sits within Australia Retail & Commercial Risk and play a leading role in the provision of 2nd line Regulatory and Compliance Support to the Australia Retail and Australia Commercial Divisions and foster strong working relationships with business and risk partners, provide insight and advice/guidance to business teams in relation to regulatory matters.

Risk is a critical function, with highly valued and innovative teams that enable ANZ to deliver its purpose.

What will your day look like

The Regulatory Compliance Manager is critical to making this happen and will: 

• Actively manage relationships with regulators
• Support the business in responding to regulator requests, activities and requirements
• Identify and monitor relevant regulatory and industry change and providing compliance advice to assist the Australia Retail and Australia Commercial Divisions with its management of regulatory obligations, adoption of regulatory change and application of Group-wide and Divisional Regulatory Compliance policy(ies). 
• Shape regulatory developments and assist in the adoption of regulatory change
• Contribute to and foster the development of a compliance culture across the Australia Division in an innovative and collaborative team environment

What will you bring?

• Proven financial services experience, financial services experience in law, risk, compliance, audit, or working at a regulator or quasi-regulator and relevant tertiary qualifications
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence/negotiate change using an adaptable influencing style
• Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk-based manner 
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated Experience in Compliance Management
• Understanding of Compliance, Regulation and Regulators
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and Business Report Writing
• Knowledge of banking instruments, products, and processes


Good to have: 

• Prior experience in either working for a regulator or managing regulatory relationships
• Prior experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Roles
• Prior experience with risk management systems
• People Leadership
