We are current seeking a
Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Safety Department on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of Jetstar's regulatory compliance function; ensuring that relevant domestic and foreign regulatory requirements related to Jetstar's Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and associated Operations Specifications are met and/or maintained in accordance with legislation and expectations.

This role is also the primary focal for environmental, wildlife management and dangerous goods compliance activities and programs across the Jetstar Airways operation.


With your previous experience in a similar role, you will lead Jetstar's safety compliance management system, associated processes, and activities.

This role will also influence, advise and provide support to Jetstar Airways Leadership and Operations Managers to ensure consistent and effective regulatory compliance programs are in place and aligned with the airline's safety strategy.

This role will work in lock step with the Qantas Group Compliance team to ensure alignment with broader Jetstar and Qantas compliance strategies and activities.


To be considered for this role, key skills will include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in safety, risk, compliance or business is required
  • Business analyst/project management experience is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience coordinating safety and/or operational compliance activities in a highly regulated transport organization
  • Experience in managing and coordinating electronic databases and content management systems
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigate and make meaning from complex regulatory environments
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to network, negotiate and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • A creative approach to problemsolving, with a highlevel attention to detail.
