Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join their esteemed team, or an experienced Speech Therapist looking to take a step up. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a leadership position, offering clinical support and supervision to a team of talented speech therapists. You will manage a small caseload and work closely with other allied health professionals, contributing to the multidisciplinary care of young clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of speech therapists, ensuring top-tier service delivery.
  • Conduct thorough Speech and Language assessments, developing tailored treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions for a diverse paediatric clientele.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to offer holistic, integrated care.
  • Mentor and support speech therapists, encouraging their professional growth and development.
  • Partner with the Principal Psychologist and Senior Occupational Therapist to oversee service delivery.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with SPA
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in paediatric speech therapy, ideally with a strong background in mentoring and supporting others.
  • In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
  • Valid DBS check, alongside a Working with Children Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
