We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at our clinic in Bedford or Swan Valley. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with psychologists, speech pathologists, and other health professionals to deliver integrated care to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional development using standardised tools.
- Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessments, setting measurable goals in collaboration with families and other healthcare providers.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social participation using play-based activities.
- Educate and support families on therapeutic strategies and exercises to reinforce their child's development at home.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care, participating in team meetings and coordinating care plans.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations and family feedback.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communications.
- Assist with transitions and integration into different settings, providing recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and new techniques in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Contribute to practice development through marketing, outreach, and assisting in the creation of new programs or services.
- Accredited tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy in Australia.
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in Occupational Therapy.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
- A Working with Children Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
