About the role

As a Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting injured workers on their journey back to work. Your focus will be on delivering person-centered case management while ensuring that compensation entitlements are handled appropriately. Strong communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders are essential for achieving sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims Assessment: Evaluate and determine liability for various claims, ensuring thorough analysis and adherence to guidelines.

  • Claims Review Preparation: Prepare for and participate in claims reviews, showcasing your strategic approach and effective results in managing cases.

  • Return to Work Support: Facilitate the return-to-work process for injured workers, employing person-centered strategies to address chronic health issues and promote well-being.

  • Compensation Management: Ensure timely and appropriate compensation entitlements are disbursed, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assessing claims and determining liability.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in case management, particularly with a focus on person-centered approaches.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Experience as a Case Manager with the VIC Workers Compensation Scheme, ideally in Return to Work or Long Term Case Management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with different IT applications.
