From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.
This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
Your role
The Thales CMATS Technical Instructor contributes to the design, development and delivery of CMATS technical training activities (including budgetary control, resourcing, and coordination), along with ad-hoc training requests.
The position will focus on the technical training of our users across network, hardware and software related tasks within our CMATS environment. The role will be suitable for a technical/field support specialist who has developed and delivered on training materials within this domain.
This position is based in our office in Melbourne CBD.
Some responsibilities include:
Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to determine training and assessment solutions Designing training management and curriculum information Developing training materials, facilitating training development and preparation activities, Authoring and supporting internal reviews of relevant training material and customer documentation, Undertaking delivery of technical training, Ensuring suitable procedures and practices are engaged during technical training delivery, Providing professional advice on technical documentation and training matters to the Thales CMATS Senior Technical Instructor.On day one you will come with
Prior experience in delivering technical training Prior experience in performing technical troubleshooting and resolving operational or simulator system hardware or software issues in a time-critical environment. Working as part of a team in complex, technology-based projects. Prior experience in working with commercial IT infrastructure Intermediate level skills in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Exposure to working to aggressive and fixed schedules. Australian Citizenship / Ability to obtain & maintain a clearanceQualifications:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent formal training/education qualification. Qualification in engineering (hardware, software, IT, cybersecurity, networking), recognised Tech Cert or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the Thales CMATS Training Manager.Highly Desirable:
Prior experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Identity Management (IdM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)#LN-HN1
