The core product management teams mission is to deliver product features and services that customers love, in a simple, efficient, and compliant manner. We’re central to the ANZ Plus banking proposition - the definition of products and features starts with us, so we’re passionate about getting it right from the start.   

It’s our responsibility to enable product and feature distribution to our customers by integrating with the broader ANZ Plus capabilities and with a number of systems across ANZ. Our technology teams cover Core Banking Systems (Hogan), Product/Rewards Management (Zafin) and other cloud native SaaS and GCP hosted core product management services. 
 

What will your day look like

Reporting to the Technology domain lead, you will be responsible for Product Management of technology platforms, services as well as people leadership. 

  • Technical product ownership for ANZ Plus product features and services for deposits and lending, payment processing, product/reward management, and the ANZ Plus product fee management services. 
  • Define the technical vision and roadmap, continually simplifying the overall ANZ technology product landscape.  Product simplification is a strategic pillar within the ANZ Plus programme of work.  
  • Work closely with the Product Teams to ensure ANZ Plus Products are fit for purpose, and will be 100% compliant with our T&Cs. 
  • Lead and support a team of 50+, including 9 direct reports, spread across different countries. 
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, including other ANZ Plus teams and about 30 other teams across ANZ to deliver on our product simplification strategy. 
  • Work closely with broader ANZ technology teams to ensure our core systems are future-proofed and ready for strategic migrations and integrations. 

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be:  

  • Experienced in working with Mainframe/Core banking systems with the required understanding of risk to downstream integration 
  • Highly consultative and collaborative, effective in influencing enterprise-wide stakeholders to an agreed approach, which may conflict with their own strategies and roadmaps  
  • Someone who thrives in solving complex problems using strong analytical, and design thinking skills 
  • Skilled in bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritising incoming requests, to ensure timely delivery  
  • An engaging leader, experienced in leading a workforce located in multiple countries 
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritisation and planning
