About The Roles:
There are two Events Lead roles available within the team which will be responsible for the planning and delivery of events across Bendigo Kangan Institute. With one role focusing on internal events and one role focusing on external events, these positions play an important part in successfully delivering a large number of events across both metro and regional Victoria.
External Events
External events include student Graduations and Awards nights, campus Open Nights, student Fashion Show, expos, trade shows and more.Work closely with internal and external partners to plan, design, develop and deliver events and functions across metro and rural Victoria within allocated budget.Maintain a business wide event calendar and contribute to resource allocation in collaboration with relevant teams.Work in collaboration with the Campaign Team to brief in, plan and coordinate effective event marketing campaigns in-line with the overall business and marketing strategyFormal management responsibilities for an Event Coordinator whilst also fostering a positive culture and climate within the team and the portfolio more broadlyInternal Events
Internal events include staff conferences, all-staff "Town Hall" meetings, days of celebration and recognition (e.g. NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week), staff awards night and other events as required.Work closely with internal and external partners to plan, design, develop and deliver internal staff events and functions across metro and regional Victoria within allocated budget.Maintain an internal event calendar and contribute to resource allocation in collaboration with relevant teamsWork in collaboration with internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate effective events in-line with the overall corporate strategy and desired culture at BKIFoster a positive culture and climate within the team and the portfolio more broadlyBoth roles are expected to assist in the set-up and coordination of events outside of regular working hours including some weekends where required.

Qualifications in a relevant field, and/or 3 - 5 years demonstrated experience in managing conferences and large scale events.Previous experience managing staff or teamsProven track record delivering a range of events within agreed timeframes and budgetWe can offer you:
