Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Event Planning Specialist to join our team. As an Event Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and delivering events across Bendigo Kangan Institute, including student Graduations and Awards nights, campus Open Nights, student Fashion Show, expos, trade shows, and more. You will work closely with internal and external partners to plan, design, develop, and deliver events within allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate events, including logistics, catering, and decorations;
  • Maintain event calendars and contribute to resource allocation in collaboration with relevant teams;
  • Work closely with the Campaign Team to brief in, plan, and coordinate effective event marketing campaigns;
  • Foster a positive culture and climate within the team and the portfolio more broadly;
  • Formal management responsibilities for an Event Coordinator;
Requirements
  • Qualifications in a relevant field, and/or 3-5 years demonstrated experience in managing conferences and large-scale events;
  • Previous experience managing staff or teams;
  • Proven track record delivering a range of events within agreed timeframes and budget;
