: The Office of the Deputy Director-General, Communications, Corporate and Delivery is recruiting to the role of Assistant Director.

The Assistant Director will work as part of a small team to:

Provide high level written and verbal advice and support to the Deputy Director-General; Provide high level administrative support to the Deputy Director-General; and Provide high level support to the Deputy Director-General in governance activities, assisting in preparing advice for meeting attendance; managing risks and quality improvement work and initiatives; and assisting in the implementation of actions from strategic and business planning.

Working with Office is an exciting opportunity that will provide exposure to a range of important topics and issues.

You will be supported by our small and friendly team and will gain valuable insights into high level decision making and considerations for the whole of the ACT Health Directorate and will provide key support to the Deputy Director-General.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

To be successful in the role, you will have highly developed written and oral communication skills, be adaptable and responsive, and be able to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of situations and subject matter.

Notes: This is a temporary position available 16 September 2024 until 15 September 2025. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
