Assistant Manager, Business Services

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Business Services team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing financial accounts, tax returns, and providing comprehensive business support services for a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational responsibilities of the Business Services team, delivering high-quality services to clients.
- Prepare financial accounts, tax returns, and associated documentation for various entity structures (companies, trusts, partnerships) and individuals.
- Prioritize, delegate, and review tax compliance assignments, including annual financial statements and activity statements.
- Utilize your expertise in tax issues to manage PSI, Division 7A, and CGT matters.
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of IAS/BAS returns.
- Liaise with the ATO on various matters and maintain strong international client relationships.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Support the Management Accountant with data entry and bookkeeping for local and international clients.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 5-6 years of post-graduate experience as a Business Services Accountant.
- At least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining client relationships, particularly with international clients.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at various organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with APS, Handi Soft, ATO Portal, Class Super, and Xero.
- CA or CPA qualified.
