Where the team fits in

The Programmatic Insights and Analytics Specialist sits within the Programmatic Trading Operations team which is part of the Customer Group headed up by Kul Singh. The Programmatic Trading Operations team work closely with the Product, Sales teams and their customers to activate digital advertising campaigns across various programmatic trading and social media platforms. These multi-channel campaigns run outside of REA Group’s digital properties, and utilise our valuable first party audience data to drive client performance and revenue.

What the role is all about

The Programmatic Insights and Analytics Specialist will work closely with the Programmatic Trading Operations, Product and Sales teams and play a crucial role in mapping and organising various data sets, leading investigative analysis and surfacing insights to inform bidding, targeting and supply optimisations to unlock media revenue opportunities and performance efficiencies across our various media buying platforms.

The Programmatic Insights and Analytics Specialist supports the Customer Group in the following ways:

Manage and/or support the integration and mapping of multiple campaign data sets in REA’s reporting platform suite (Ignite, Tableau, Datorama, Power BI…)

Manage creation, maintenance and improvement of programmatic campaign spend and performance monitoring dashboards enabling daily optimisations by the Programmatic Trading Team.

Ongoing analysis and review of campaign bidding and targeting strategies with the aim to drive increased customer outcome and cost efficiencies.

Provide analysis and insights to help brief our internal TechOps team with campaign optimisation automations

Monitor, identify and investigate day-to-day cost and performance fluctuations, anomalies, and inconsistencies.

Be the main point of contact for demand side programmatic reporting solutions owned by other internal teams.

Keep on top of the various buying platforms’ reporting features and upgrades: DSPs, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc., implementing and/or communicating necessary updates to relevant internal teams

Trouble shoot / escalate reporting outages or discrepancies with the relevant vendors’ support teams and manage communications with the Programmatic Trading Operations team and other stakeholders (TechOps, Product, Sales, etc...)

Suggest customer-facing reporting solutions improvement opportunities: format, metrics, visualisation, layout, automation, insights…

Provide ongoing and adhoc performance & cost analysis across the demand-side programmatic product suite, markets and segments

Who we’re looking for

• Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

• Interest in media performance metrics and measurement analytics.

• Strong desire and curiosity to learn new concepts and dig deeper into data analysis

• Computer science / information systems or software engineering background.

• Understanding of SQL, Python.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Understanding of the Programmatic ecosystem will be strongly considered.

• Data analytics and visualisation experience (Datorama, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).

• Independent worker eager to demonstrate personal accountability.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
