We are seeking a Senior Contract Administrator with a strong background in managing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) packages to join our downstream commercial team. This critical role will involve managing substantial subcontractor and supplier packages and contributing to the successful delivery of one of Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects.
 
Project Overview
Parklife Metro has been awarded the Sydney Metro SSSTOM package of works. The consortium will deliver six new stations between St Marys and the new Aerotropolis, 12 new metro trains, core rail systems, and the stabling and maintenance facility to be built at Orchard Hills.
 
Comprising Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, Parklife Metro is excited to deliver this city-shaping project. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate a large range of subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the construction and resource schedules.
  • Lead the administration of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) subcontractor packages, including claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Assess subcontractor claims and external variations, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Review, negotiate, and finalize subcontract terms and conditions, particularly for M&E contracts.
  • Administer subcontractor performance against scopes of work and the construction program, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to manage and monitor subcontract packages.
  • Proactively manage risk exposure related to subcontractor claims and variations.
  • Contribute to the development of the commercial team’s expertise and knowledge. 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commercial, Legal, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration for civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on Mechanical and Electrical packages.
  • Well-developed knowledge of the principles and practices of contract and commercial/finance management.
  • Strong ability to understand and articulate contractual rights and positions.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong collaborative skills.
