About the role:

As an HR business Partner on a 6 month contract you will work directly with our business to provide expert advice and support to various client groups on a day-to-day basis. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on responsibilities. You will be involved in activities such as workers compensation and performance coaching. Additionally, you will collaborate with managers to address employee matters and enhance performance management. Supporting the Senior HRBP you will contribute to cyclical activities related to performance management, organisational development, workforce planning and learning and development. You will also provide coaching to operational leaders, ensuring consistent employee experiences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage case management, workers’ compensation, and performance coaching.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on employee matters and performance management.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Business Partner to execute cyclical activities related to performance management, employee relationships, coaching, organizational development, workforce planning, and learning & development.
  • Deliver 1:1 coaching to enhance the leadership capability of operational leaders.
  • Foster consistency in employee experience across the organization.
  • Lead or contribute to People & Culture (P&C) projects, driving impactful initiatives such as performance reviews and development planning
  • Assist the Senior HRBP in implementing divisional people plans.
  • Support business units in recruitment, development, reward, and talent management aligned with divisional business goals.
  • Collaborate on key change initiatives related to values, culture, engagement, leadership, and performance.
  • Ensure effective communication to employees regarding employee relations and change initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy services to HCF Group staff on employment terms and conditions.
  • Serve as a specialist resource for line management, addressing all aspects of Manage workers compensation matters in consultation with our Risk advisers and insurers.
  • Coach leaders through Return to Work plans, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.

  • Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Post-Graduate Qualifications: Further education enhances your expertise and broadens your impact.
  • Financial Services or PHI Background: Previous experience in these sectors is advantageous.
  • People Reporting and Metrics: Building best practices ensures data-driven decision-making.
