About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Department Manager for our Randwick Store to contribute to our ongoing success.
As a Department Manager / Coordinator, you will have the very meaningful job of leading the day-to-day store operations, ensuring your team build memorable experiences and making your customers D.I.Y. projects a reality. Your store will be your pride and joy – you’ll use visual merchandising to your best advantage, aligning this to store marketing plans.
What’s involved:
· Support the store leadership team
· Set an example of best service and support the team to deliver friendly and helpful advice to customers
· Coach the team on the right service behaviours
· Assist with inducting and training the team
· Ensure that merchandising standards fit with business requirements
· Coordinate stock
You’ll need:
· Experience supervising and leading customer facing teams in a high safety and high compliance environment
· Strong analytical skills
· A passion for customer service
· Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of a team
· An ability to achieve results and standards by working with your team
· Open communication style
· Be approachable and confident when interacting with customers
· Have an eagerness to learn about new products
· To be on your feet assisting with customers across a wide range of retail hours
