Position: Civil Engineer (Site)
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Rouse Hill NSW 2155
Our client is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Site) to join their team located in Rouse Hill, New South Wales.
Tasks required include:
- Conduct project meetings, and provided technical advice and recommendations to project teams, construction workers and clients to optimize project outcomes.
- Manage the allocation of materials and trades to job sites to ensure timely and efficient construction of homes.
- Analyse the Geotech report and site survey prior to the foundation work and provide instruction to contractors regarding building lines, dropping beams, depth and size of piers.
- Conduct soil test on soil samples at time of Piering. Using penetrometer to calculate bearing capacity of soil at certain depth and ensure bearing capacity is achieved as per mentioned in engineering drawing.
- Conduct the thorough inspection of steel work for slab before commencing the concrete pouring. Ensure the steel and pods are installed as per engineering drawings and it complies with National construction code AS2870- Residential slabs.
- Prepare the inspection report for timber frame once the frame structure is erected. Analyse the installation of various structural elements used for timber framing as per AS1670 of NCC. Make report and Coordinate with sub-contractors to resolve any technical issue observed in structure.
- Check the installation of waterproofing membrane for internal and external wet areas as per AS3740. Also, perform the water test to ensure the no leakages from wet areas before commencing further work in wet area.
- Record daily progress of construction activities and updated the office team to maintain effective communication and project coordination.
- Ensure that homes are completed on time and within the allocated budget
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality, safety, and environmental standards, and implemented corrective actions as required to address issues and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineer.
