The Opportunity:

NRW Civil & Mining are now on the search for an experienced Hire and Fleet Coordinator to join our dynamic and fast paced team. The purpose of this role is to provide the safe and cost-effective performance of maintenance works along with coordinating maintenance activities across all projects for externally hired plant and equipment.

To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:

  • Mechanic Trade Qualification – preferred but not essential
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the Civil and Mining sectors
  • Background in heavy mechanical repair and servicing – preferred but not essential
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Ability to multi task and deliver results in a timely manner
  • Proficient with modern IT applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and data analytical skills

 As the Hire and Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Conduct or coordinate pre-hire inspections ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and compliant with NRW specifications and site requirements
  • Review all maintenance documentation of external plant prior to delivery onsite
  • Upload hired equipment into SOS management system
  • Fit NRW stickers and fleet decals onto plant at pre-hire inspection
  • Ensure statutory documentation requirements are on file for external hired plant prior to delivery onsite (Rim Certification, NDT Testing, Fire Suppression)
  • Create service sheets for external hired plant in line with OEM recommendations on the NRW CDMS systems
  • Advise owners of defects/issues with their equipment and coordinate relevant repairs
  • Authorise transport of equipment to and from NRW projects
  • Provide technical support to projects for externally hired plant and equipment
  • Interpret hire agreements to resolve dispute
