About The Role
As a Functional Capacity and Home Living Assessor, you will play a crucial role in conducting assessments to evaluate individuals’ abilities, challenges, and support needs across various life tasks.

Your assessments will inform personalised recommendations for home and living support models, fostering active self-determination, and enabling individuals to participate fully in decision-making regarding their living situation.
 
Your Everyday
As a Functional Capability and Home Living Assessor at Everyday Independence, you’ll experience meaningful and manageable days. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:

  • Conducted comprehensive Functional Capacity and Home Living Assessments in participants homes and other contextual environments in which they live life.
  • Recommended appropriate home and living support models based on the assessment findings.
  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of NDIS regulations and funding guidelines.
  • Utilised quality of life approaches, inclusion strategies, and ecosystem supports in assessment and recommendation processes.
  • Produced timely and evidence-based reports to support assessment outcomes and recommendations.

To be considered for this role you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • General AHPRA Registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in functional capability and home living assessment.
  • Knowledge of NDIS guidelines and funding structures preferred.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Childrens Check.
