Job Description
The Payroll Technical Specialist will be a strategic liaison between the Payroll Finance team and Technology teams. This role will ensure seamless integration of payroll systems with the Human Capital Management (HCM), time and attendance platforms, and other related technologies. You will be instrumental in aligning technology initiatives with payroll and broader HR operations, managing system enhancements, and driving process improvements.
What you can expect in the role:
- Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback to advocate for necessary system enhancements that support business objectives
- Identity and drive areas for innovation and improvement within the payroll technology stack
- Serve as the primary liaison between payroll, HR, and technology teams
- Manage finance backlog item and assist in roadmap development
- Communicate technology and platform changes effectively
- Document technical aspects of the payroll platform, including business requirements, integration data requirements, security considerations and commercial impacts
- Act as a point of escalation for technical issues, support payroll integrations and investigate and resolve integration issues in line with incident management processes
- Lead and manage the technology projects related to payroll systems
- Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure timely implementation and monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays that arise
You’ll enjoy the role if you have:
- Previous experience supporting payroll systems and integrations
- Strong technical experience the iChris Payroll system
- A solid foundation in the technical facets of payroll systems and integrations
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- An innovative mindset, capable of inspiring teams and driving cross-functional collaboration
