About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Officer. As a key member of our HR/Payroll team, you will be responsible for performing payroll duties, including but not limited to:
- Payroll Processing: Ensure compliance with company procedures, payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations, terminations, and other associated payroll tasks.
- Payroll Tax and Compliance: Complete monthly and yearly payroll tax return reconciliations, payment of Group Tax, and all month-end remittances, ensuring statutory guidelines are met.
- Employee Onboarding: Ensure all employees are correctly set up in the company payroll system, and assist with monitoring and entering of all master file details.
- Payroll Queries and Support: Close out queries on payroll matters on an ongoing basis, and provide annual leave cover of the payroll team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2-3 years' payroll experience, including award interpretation, payroll tax, superannuation, terminations, and leave accruals.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, including Kronos Time and Attendance (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing, with a passion for providing excellence in customer service to internal clients.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with all employee-related issues, and work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple and competing priorities.
