THE ROLE
Working within a national and well-resourced Employee Relations function, this role will see you join a team of 10 in the Compliance Division. Reporting into a supportive manager, your role will be vital in ensuring compliance with workplace legislation; from advising on legislative changes and applying industrial instruments, through to owning wage compliance matters and collaborating on payment projects. A hands-on role, you will partner with a variety of internal stakeholders in order to meet business objectives and have the opportunity to flex your project management within the ER space.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide expert advice in relation to relevant industrial laws and industrial instruments
- Ensure application and compliance with internal policies, procedures and adherence to workplace legislation
- Support wage & entitlement compliance projects
- Stay updated on changes in national industrial relations laws, regulations, and industry best practices
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
While exposure to retail, hospitality or entertainment industries would be hugely valuable, what will see you thrive in this role is your ability to work collaboratively, your eye for detail and data, and your strong experience working across employee relations, industrial relations, awards & workplace legislation.
- Experience working as an ER/IR Specialist within retail, hospitality, healthcare or other highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of workplace legislation, regulations, industrial instruments, awards
- Ability to show initiative and work within a complex environment
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent relationship skills and stakeholder management
