Your Role:

As a pivotal member of the HR team, you will play a key role in providing robust Employee Relations support. As the Employee Relations Specialist, you will deliver expert, compliant, and reliable guidance on workplace matters to teams across Australia, supporting effective resolutions for complex employee relations issues and fostering positive outcomes for employees and the organisation.

Reporting to an HR Manager and as an integral member of the team, some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Support complex case management and provide expert advice on ER/IR issues.
  • Advise on employment legislation, agreements, and awards.
  • Mediate disputes and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Proactively identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and manage interactions with unions.
  • Provide timely recommendations and solutions to people managers.
  • Develop a client-centric approach and build trusted partnerships.
  • Design and develop employment-related documentation.
  • Coach and empower managers in ER/IR matters.

Your Role:

As a senior Employee Relations specialist, you will leverage your expertise to provide exceptional service, collaborate effectively with teams, and drive positive change through innovative solutions, all while fostering a supportive work environment aligned with the organisations values and goals.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
  • A relevant bachelor's degree or higher in HR, ER, business, law, or commerce.
  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in HR or ER.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies, systems, and processes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
