About the Role 
Join Swinburne Research as a Research Ethics Executive Officer and become a vital part of our dynamic team. 

This role provides crucial research administration and support services with a focus on offering committee secretary support to various research ethics committees. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding committee members, academic staff, and research students on ethical issues and protocols, contributing to the efficient and effective management of research ethics at the University. 

Additionally this role plays a key role in organising information workshops, training sessions, and continuously improving procedures and processes. 

This position is available for immediate commencement.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Experience in providing secretariat support for committees, including preparation of agendas and minutes.
  • Ability to develop and use a range of problem solving and decision-making skills to ensure that tasks are effectively and professionally completed, to ensure high quality customer service.
  • Expertise in use of online content management and workflow systems and proficiency in generating reports from these systems.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education and training. (essential)
  • A postgraduate degree with a substantial research component and/ or additional training and qualifications in ethics or integrity. (desirable)
