As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for recruitment activities across our Operations and Engineering team, where you’ll be supporting the business in sourcing great talent. TA Specialists may also be responsible for management of bulk recruitment processes under the direction of a Talent Acquisition Lead or Manager. Timely delivery, high quality and involvement in Continuous Improvement projects will be part of the TA Specialist role. This role will also see you actively take part in promotional activities such as career fairs and networking events.

With your consultative approach, you will implement relevant recruitment and sourcing strategies, ensuring the candidate experience is always positive and reinforces our organisation's employment brand. Coaching, training and supporting business managers and people advisers will also be key. Finding candidates for difficult-to-fill positions can be challenging in this portfolio, but having experience in proactive sourcing and thinking creativity will be key when sourcing these roles.

You’ll have:

  • Experience in recruiting a variety of differing roles specific to Engineering in Aviation.

  • Experience in recruiting roles in a large, complex organisation

  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and ability to perform under tight deadlines in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

  • Experience in developing recruitment strategies, implementing recruitment processes and coordinating recruitment campaigns to successful outcomes

  • The ability to develop plans and coordinate multiple project activities with stakeholders, managing conflicting deadlines and coordinating resources accordingly

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office and experience in delivering efficiencies via technology using Workday or Smart Recruiter

  • Good problem-solving capability and ability to exercise sound judgement, exploring innovative approaches to sourcing strategies

  • A natural confidence to present in front of large groups who may be both internal and external to Qantas

  • A flexible approach based upon changing business needs and workload allocation

  • An understanding of HR and IR laws and their impact on the recruitment process

  • The ability to form strong relationships with a range of different stakeholders

  • Ability to travel to various ports including SYD when required.
