The Opportunity
Due to expansion within our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team, we are seeking a Return-to-Work Coordinator to support our NSW Schools Contract. We are offering a permanent full-time work in an long standing contract, flexible working arrangements and opportunities for growth in your unique role. 
 
This contract focuses on delivering effective and efficient cleaning services in Public Schools and Government facilities across the Western Sydney, Central Coast, and Hunter regions within strict timeframes that meet stringent requirements. This role will have a strong focus on the people aspect, not only ensuring safety is a top priority but also the mental and physical health of staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
•    Compiling the initial notification information.
•    Coordinating the worker's recovery at work, including identifying suitable work.
•    Preparing, monitoring and reviewing a worker's recover at work plan.
•    Liaising with the worker's support team.
•    Supporting the redeployment of workers (internally or externally) into suitable work when they cannot return to their pre-injury duties.
•    Keeping confidential case notes and records in line with laws and guidelines.
•    Implementing the RTW program and keeping injury and recover at work statistics
•    Promoting the health benefits of good work and contributing to the improvement of relevant policies and systems.
•    Opportunity to work within Health Safety and SHEQ space. 
•    Leading safety interactions with frontline workers.
•    Championing initiatives and promoting Ventia’s healthy body/minds program. 
•    Coordinating with medical specialists.
•    Attending medical appointments or dialing into virtual medical appointments in Western Sydney and across the contract.
•    Facilitating discussions around recovery at work. 

About You: 
•    Must have Return To Work Coordination certificate.
•    Previous experience in workers compensation or rehabilitation management (desired).
•    Must have a current Working with Children’s check (WWCC).
•    High level of communication with all relevant stakeholders. 
•    Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
•    Drivers licence required.
