APS 4 Level Procurement Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a dedicated APS4 Level Procurement Officer (Labour Hire) for a rewarding opportunity with a leading government agency in DEAKIN ACT.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch, contributing to the success of a world-leading initiative.
You'll work within established guidelines, providing essential advice, support, and research services to ensure procurement outcomes are compliant, efficient, and of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of procurement and contracting functions, applying relevant legislative and policy guidance.
- Conduct research and analysis, draft documentation to support procurements of varying complexity.
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement team, including data management for accurate reporting.
- Draft and prepare procurement-related documentation.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects, including the development of project documentation and registers.
- Monitor work area activities and ensure objectives are met, supporting the team's success.
- Offer advice and resolve compliance issues, ensuring adherence to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and internal policies.

About You:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with SAP SRM is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the ability to apply them.
- Proficiency in managing procurement activities, from documentation to compliance reporting.
