The Client & Role:

We are currently working with a utilities sector client who are looking for two experience Organisational Development Analyst’s to join the organisation on separate levels and undertake an enterprise-wide transformation which includes a mix of tactical operational opportunities and strategic operating model changes. These positions will be offered initially on a 12-month fixed-term basis with likely extensions of up to 18 months with rates set up to $140,000 plus Super.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse information from a range of sources to examine and quantify business improvement opportunities.
  • Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges and realise operating efficiencies.
  • Develop the necessary artefacts, such as processes, business requirements, business cases, policy, procedures or training material to enable the delivery of efficiency savings.
  • Conduct impact analysis for efficiency initiatives such as cost models and change impact assessments.
  • Escalate risks, issues, blockers and learnings to Program Manager as needed.
  • Support the delivery of Target Operating Model design workshops.
  • Complete the expected monitoring, tracking and reporting of projects.
  • Create positive, open and trusting relationships with all stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Ensure that communication is effective and appropriately designed for the audience.
  • Development of briefing packs, reports or presentations and other artifacts as needed to communicate the progress and intention of the program.
  • Coordinate and lead program meetings and workshops, as required, and support the development of meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.

Required Skills & Specialisms:

  • Previous direct experience in operational or organisational development positions in the utilities sector highly advantageous.
  • Technical writing of policy, procedures, manuals, guidelines etc including process documentation.
  • Data/information gathering and analysis.
  • Developing and running workshops.
  • Understanding of enterprise operating models, value streams and capability models.
  • Business process mapping, modelling and improvement.
  • Experience with implementing target operating models.
  • Experience in programs looking to deliver a set savings dollar figure.
  • Experience working in government owned organisations.
  • Proven ability in the implementation significant change transformation programs.
  • Desired degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Business Management, Commerce or Engineering) or equivalent experience/ qualifications.
