We are looking for a Project Data Controller/Document Controller to provide and ensure a proficient, effective, timely and quality document management and control service throughout the Project’s lifecycle, across dispersed teams, time-zones, and geographies, whilst being based in Australia. This role is part of an exciting central function, supporting a number of diverse projects across various product groups throughout the client’s global portfolio.
  
This role is a great opportunity to be involved with managing document control systems, activities, and procedures to be used by project managers, coordinators, and contractors. It is a 12-month contract, covering maternity leave working Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, support and training to Project teams in all document management and control best practices in accordance with global major projects guidance.
  • Engage with external stakeholders and contractors to ensure compliance to client processes and procedures
  • Manage project data through the project life cycle to ensure all data is safe and secured to hand over to operations at project completion
  • Ensure compliance with external standards, and Project Data Management guidance for major projects
  • Provide best practice knowledge in managing and processing document management
  • Provide a quality assurance function to the team in terms of accuracy and company standards in relation to document management and control processes and systems.
  • Liaise with document controllers and other stakeholders to ensure consistent principles are applied with the proper classification and identification of information.
  • Administer the workload management tools for the team

About You

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Several years experience in a document control role working on large projects
  • Excellent collaboration skills dealing with stakeholders groups and team members
  • Experience in managing Document Control systems and processes
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience working at/supporting a remote project site beneficial.
  • Broad understanding of project management tools and processes
  • Knowledge of Document Management Project based software tools and systems.
