About the role:
As a Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst at CSR, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Finance Manager and Finance GM to ensure that the financial outcomes align with CSR's strategic objectives. This 17-month fixed-term role involves providing expert accounting and financial stewardship, preparing budgets and forecasts, and delivering comprehensive management reporting and analysis for the Total Masonry and Insulation business unit. Your contributions will be crucial in supporting the financial goals of the M&I finance team and driving business success.
- Preparation and analysis of financial, management and corporate reports, providing insightful, value-added commentary for senior management including the CSR CEO & CFO, Group EGM and Finance GM.
- Preparation of monthly accounts in line with accounting standards.
- Month end processing, including posting of journals, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews.
- Oversight of the integrity of accounting ledgers across the business, including monitoring of the head office ledger with high quality reconciliations and support.
- Preparation of Masonry and Insulation head office budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation and co-ordination of supporting information for the half year end, and year end stewardship packs, external audit preparation and response to enquiries.
- Collation and consolidation of actual monthly results, forecasts, and budgets, including the loading of data into various reporting systems by key reporting area.
- Driving continuous improvement for the improvement and optimisation of the M&I business planning and reporting processes
What you bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, and /or Commerce.
- CA/CPA Qualified.
- 5 years post qualification experience in Management or Financial accounting, including consolidation accounting, general accounting, financial analysis, and reports.
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information.
- Computer literate with a sound knowledge of accounting software (SAP), advanced technical ability in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (preferred)
- Strong communication and the ability to influence and engage peers, key stakeholders, team members, Corp Finance dept, External auditors, etc.
- Have a self-directing pro-active hands-on approach to problem solving - a 'can do' attitude.
