About Us:

Anglicare Sydney is a leading and highly regarded community NFP organisation in Australia.

Our vision is to see Jesus Christ honoured, lives enriched and communities strengthened. To achieve this, we are looking to attract the most capable and mission aligned people to join us.

For over 160 years Anglicare has been serving people in need- providing care to older people and services to the vulnerable. We began because of people who saw a need in the community and who were compelled to make a difference. People motivated by Christian love and a passion to serve. If this describes you, we would love to invite you to join us

Anglicare is seeking a dedicated Rostering Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will focus on creating a centralised roster planning structure, aligning with predetermined care minutes and the specific needs of each home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage master rosters and ongoing, long- and short-term rosters within our rostering system.

  • Coordinate the rostering of new employees for inductions and buddy shifts in consultation with Operations Managers.

  • Oversee daily roster changes, ensuring fortnightly roster projections and publishing are in line with care minutes in consultation with Operations Managers.

  • Reallocate shifts and manage planned/unplanned leave in collaboration with Operations Managers. Homes will manage sick calls and shift changes within 48 hours.

  • Communicate updates and inform staff of shift allocations and replacements.

  • Ensure rosters comply with EA requirements, preparing payroll reporting for sign-off.

  • Process planned and unplanned leave, handling administration tasks related to rostering.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and records.

About You:

  • Experience in rostering and administration, preferably in the aged care sector.

  • Previous experience with rostering practices and principles (desirable).

  • Proven ability to manage large teams through rostering technology and systems, ideally within community-based aged care.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.

  • Adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Strong Computer Skills

Why Join Anglicare?

  • Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and work-from-home options.

  • Generous NFP salary packaging benefits, reducing taxable income by up to $18,550 annually.

  • Access to a staff rewards program with discounts from over 400 retailers.

  • Fitness Passport membership covering over 800 gyms across Sydney.

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants to apply.

Please note that successful completion of background checks and an NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance may be required for this role.

At Anglicare, we are committed to honouring Jesus Christ, enriching lives, and strengthening communities.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.
