Major Incident & Problem Manager – Enterprise Environment – Permanent
Our client is a leading energy & utilities company continuing its growth and expansion to meet future challenges. They are seeking an experienced Incident & Problem Manager to join their team in Melbourne CBD.
This is an initial 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension on a flexible hybrid structure, requiring 1-2 days on site in their Melbourne CBD office. The position offers a very competitive salary.
As the Major Incident & Problem Manager, you will oversee the Incident and Problem Management processes, manage major incidents, liaise with key stakeholders and develop strategies to prevent future disruptions and enhance service delivery.
Key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Manage and execute Incident and Problem Management processes, including Major Incident Management.
- Lead Post Incident Reviews and prepare detailed reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyse incident and problem trends to identify risks and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and update policy and procedural documentation for Incident and Problem Management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance communication and ensure alignment during incidents.
With strong technical knowledge, your skills and experience will include but not be limited to:
- 5+ years of experience in Incident and Problem Management, with a strong understanding of ITIL V4 principles.
- Proven experience in managing major incidents and problem resolution in a complex IT environment.
- Proficiency in using the ServiceNow platform for incident and problem management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on risk management and continuous service improvement.
The ideal candidate will drive improvements in incident and problem management, minimise service disruptions and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
