What you'll do
In the Head of Vendor Success for HomeRun position, you will lead all of the external partnerships and commercial relationships for HomeRun whilst promoting and fostering a culture of passion for customers, mutually beneficial partnerships, commercially-savvy decision making, collaboration, innovation and operational excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for all Last Mile supplier relationships for the Woolworths Group. We currently own some of the largest supplier contacts in the group with major providers such as Linfox, Uber and Australia Post. This role and team is responsible for negotiating new agreements as well as ensuring beneficial, healthy relationships.
Key accountabilities include:
- Designing the Vendor Roadmap for HomeRun: categorise current vendor relationships, identify deficiencies or risks, lead RFPs and evaluations, in partnership with Group Procurement, and relationship building.
- Creating, leading and fostering flourishing partnerships internally and externally, promoting engagement, strategic alignment, and rapid resolution of issues.
- Negotiating and delivering mutually beneficial partnerships, and demonstrating excellence in commercial governance: set partnership vision, alignment with internal parties for vendor evaluations, high-end negotiaton to secure optimal outcomes, timely agreement on key objectives, inclusive of legals and contractuals.
- Designing and implementing the optimal strategies and mix of suppliers to achieve our goals.
- Leading the process for sourcing and health of our delivery fleet including vehicle and vendor selection, negotiation and management of vehicle lease agreements.
This is a highly commercial role. Success will be measured by the quality of the supplier relationships that HomeRun holds, and the achievement of HomeRun’s cost, safety and operational goals.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- At least 7 years of experience in commercial roles with a proven track record of delivering mutually beneficial, high value partnership deals, with a very strong commercial aptitude to identify opportunities, negotiate partnerships, build investment business cases and deliver results.
- Great people leadership skills, able to create a culture of intrinsic motivation, celebrating success while building accountability to goals and commitments.
- Highly data literate and passionate about making data-led decisions for today and the future.
- Experience in delivering material business and technology growth at other relevant technology companies.
- A passion for innovation, non-dogmatic mindset, open to new ideas with an ability to create value through harnessing the inputs from a cross functional team.
- Great written and verbal communication skills, and able to build trust with team and peers to build collaborative relationships in a large organisation.
