Our NSW Government client is hiring for multiple highly capable Finance Support Officers to join their organisation. Candidates will be expected to conduct investigative and ad-hoc data analysis, provide insights and produce high quality documentation of findings. In this role successful candidates will be joining a highly critical program of work, working closely within a cross-functional team.

Role Title: Finance Support Officer

Contract Length: ASAP start date till 30/05/2025.

Daily Pay:$550 - $650 + Super per day.

Location: Milsons Point (2061)/WFH Hybrid

Role Requirements:

  • Provide detailed and accurate analysis and determine insights to provide management information for decision making.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to support complex decision-making, including visual representation of complex data.
  • Deliver findings to a diverse range of audiences, adopting innovative solutions for presenting data.
  • Undertake ad-hoc investigations and analysis to support senior management in their decision-making process and to provide value- add support to the team.
  • Ensure the development of documentation, reporting standards and processes to maintain quality, accuracy and integrity of reporting.

Key Challenges:

  • Undertake data analysis and develop insights with limited or incomplete data.
  • Use own initiative to inform scope and direction of analysis.
  • Work across divisions and with external stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of corporate computing systems and applications and experience in data visualisation (Power BI or similar) and reporting techniques and methodologies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Hands on financial and project accounting skills and experience in large and complex organisations.
  • Experience in using TRIM record management system/electronic record management systems
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical skills with sound conceptual and research skills.
  • Able to work closely with colleagues to a high level, as well as possessing excellent communication skills.

Candidates must be based in the Greater Sydney Area and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
