About the opportunity   

The Senior Diversity and Inclusion Partner is a specialist role within the organisation’s Diversity, Culture and Inclusion (DCI) Centre of Expertise. The purpose of this role is to provide strategic partnering and advisory to key stakeholders on Australia Post’s diversity, culture and inclusion strategies that incorporate lived experience, business needs and enterprise strategy.  

The DCI team’s priorities include Gender, Accessibility, Indigenous, LGBTIQ and Refugees.  

Our current opportunity available will focus on gender equity within our business and is open to those based in Melbourne or Sydney. 

Our Melbourne Support Office is relocating to 480 Swan Street, Richmond from June 2024. The custom-built space and its new workstations, social spaces, technology, other inclusions and amenities gives us the opportunity to support your ever-evolving ways of working.
 
What you’ll deliver with us   
Australia Post understands the importance of diversity in the workplace and believes an inclusive workplace encourages better connections within customers and communities. You will join an organisation that has robust employee reference groups embedded in the business and track record of driving frontline gender equity outcomes. You will connect with our Board, Executive team, and our team members to drive gender equity through developing and executing a revised Gender Action Plan for the organisation.  
   
You’ll also 

  • Partner with key stakeholders including senior leaders, leadership team(s) and employee reference groups to design, develop and execute Inclusion plans 
  • Coach, enable and support leaders to drive the change and transformation required by embedding best practice 
  • Use people & culture technology and analytics to provide insights and drive action 
  • Lead and develop key programs of work that execute on the D&I strategies 
  • Report progress internally to key stakeholders and through national employee communications and externally where appropriate  
       

About you   

You are not only passionate about Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace but also see yourself as an excellent communicator and can naturally consult with a wide range of people. A passion for collaborating with others and driving for results is what we are seeking. You will be joining the leadership team in DCI and directly report to our supportive Head of DCI at Australia Post.  
   
You’ll also need    

  • Demonstrated track record on driving gender equity outcomes, including WEGA, reporting, insights and strategy  
  • Strong experience in developing and delivering strategy  
  • Leading edge consulting experience including influencing senior stakeholders  
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure Legislative and Regulatory compliance  
  • Proven track record leading organisational people and culture initiatives  
  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organisation
