We are looking for a Sous Chef to lead & inspire the backbone of the Culinary scene in our Commissary kitchen/Team Dining Room, on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. Working closely with the Chef de Cuisine, you will support a team of 50+ chefs and front-of-house team members. Our Culinary team prides itself on our product, as a result, the team runs an extensive product line to cater to 12 outlets including, Retail, Casual, Premium Dining & Banquets with a basic line of recipes & bulk supplies. This also includes catering over 2,000+ hot & cold meals for our valued internal customers, our team members

Be accountable for leading all aspects of team management Participate in menu preparation and pricing policies Develop training plans and conduct on-the-job training sessions Ensure an open line of communication between the team, management and guests. Attract and retain the right talent into the business.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel, Commissary kitchen or large production environment will be an asset Experience managing a team larger than 50 or more colleagues Sound knowledge of Asian and European/Australian cooking styles Ability to work in a large corporate environment, using different computer systems and the skills to partner with different stakeholders Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and production environment.If this sounds like the right challenge for you and you want to be part of our outstanding Sydney family, don't look any further and apply now
