Set to open in spring, Batard is 2024’s most anticipated restaurant. Spanning four levels of restaurants, bars and more, this destination will capture the magic of Paris in a uniquely Melbourne way.

About the Opportunity:
Join the opening team of Batard and work with talented chefs. This is a great opportunity for Chefs de Partie to experience a new venue opening. Work closely with senior chefs and ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency and efficiency of your section. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a dynamic and prestigious kitchen.

Full time and casual positions available. 
 
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant
  • Strong culinary skills with an eye for detail and a passion for quality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
  • Team oriented and strong communication skills
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Eye for detail and strong time management
  • Knowledge food safety standards
  • Genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
