Modern Workplace Engineer

Contract Length: 12 Months with potential extension or permanency
Location: Melbourne CBD
WFH: 2/3 days per week
Rate: Negotiable day rate
About the Role: Our client is looking for a Modern Workspace Engineer to help transform their IT infrastructure. This role is essential in modernising their operations, enhancing Microsoft Intune capabilities, upgrading from Windows 10 to a Windows 11 environment, and supporting cloud migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Microsoft Intune and manage compliance policies.
- Implement and manage Conditional Access and Azure Active Directory.
- Oversee Active Directory Group Policy administration.
- Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and on-premises solutions.
- Manage Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) tasks.
- Handle certificate configuration and rollout, including WIFI Certificate Management.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies aligned with Essential Eight Standards.
- Create and present design documentation and configuration guides tailored to client needs.
- Support ITIL practices in alignment with the client's operational framework.
About You:
- Azure certification is beneficial.
- 5-10 years of experience in cloud and Windows engineering.
- Proven track record in design, build, configuration, and testing.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively support client workshops and team meetings.
- Ability to translate technical designs into clear configuration and playbook documentation.
This position has the potential for a permanent role or extension after 12 months, based on performance and the client's organizational needs.
