Your why The Financial Crime Associate Director is a key role within the ubank First Line Risk Enablement team reporting to the Head of Financial Crime. You will support the ubank businesses to understand and meet all AML CTF policy, standards and processes to manage the associated risks and obligations.

The role will support a functional area executing upon a range of monitoring activities to assess process compliance by frontline teams, delivery of support to meet process requirements, oversee initiatives to address back-book issues identified, and report on these matters to various risk and business committees. 

The role will support the completion of regulatory responses, review new Policy/Standards to determine business impact, and identify improvements to sustainably manage financial crime risk and obligations.

  
How you will spend your time

  • Effective prioritization and execution of workload to ensure processes run to plan
  • Proactively monitoring risk and assurance requirements within agreed Risk Appetite and managing non-compliance in a timely manner
  • Engagement with financial crime operations and value chain partners to design and monitor execution of services to support delivery against policy requirements
  • SME on change initiatives to support design of target state environment and drive accountability for meeting ubank deliverables
  • Driving understanding and capability for Financial Crime across ubank
  • Provide insights and recommendation for uplift to business leaders

  
What you will bring

  • Business, finance, project or general management tertiary qualification preferred
  • Banking and regulatory environment experience
  • Legal, risk or compliance background
  • Strong product and process knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated Leadership, drive and accountability
