About the Role 

Are you an experienced producer with a passion for storytelling? Do you have a deep understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and perspectives. If so, NITV invites you to join our team to contribute on our flagship showsâ¯such as Going Places with Ernie Dingo and to our mission of celebrating Indigenous voices. 

As a Producer at NITV, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Lead Content Development: Develop original television content that resonates with our audience and aligns with NITV’s mission and values. Your work will help to amplify Indigenous voices and perspectives. 
  • Travel and Explore: Visit diverse communities across Australia, immersing yourself in local cultures and histories as you bring untold stories to life. 
  • Collaborate: Work closely with a dedicated team of directors, writers, editors, and other production team members to create compelling and culturally sensitive content. 
  • Oversee Script Development: Guide writers to ensure that scripts meet NITV’s standards for authenticity, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity. 
  • Coordinate Casting Processes: Engage with talent agents and Indigenous communities to identify and recruit actors, presenters, and contributors who reflect the diversity and authenticity of NITV’s programming. 

About You

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2.5 years of experience in production or multiple credits producing, directing, or writing a variety of productions.
